Jim Vogt President and CEO
With 30 years of leadership experience in both start-up and public corporations, Jim Vogt brings a wealth of business and technology expertise to his role as president and CEO of Zettaset. Most recently, Jim served as senior vice president and general manager of the Cloud Services business unit at Blue Coat Systems. Prior to Blue Coat, he served as president and CEO at Trapeze Networks (acquired in August, 2008 by Belden, Inc.). He was also president and CEO at data encryption start-up Ingrian Networks (acquired in April, 2008 by SafeNet). Prior to this, Jim spent 11 years with SynOptics, Bay Networks and Nortel where he held several product line and general management roles, including president of Nortel’s $1.4BN Small Business Solutions group. Jim holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nevada, and an MBA from Santa Clara University.
Tim Reilly COO & CFO
Tim Reilly leverages over 25 years of business, financial and operational experience at public and private companies in the networking, software and Internet industries. Prior to Zettaset, Tim was the vice president of finance at Trapeze Networks (acquired in August, 2008 by Belden, Inc.). Prior to that, Tim served as the vice president of finance at netVmg (acquired in September, 2003 by Internap Networks). He has also held numerous financial positions at WorldxChange Communications (acquired in February, 2000 by World Access), CATS Software and Ernst & Young, LLP. He is a certified public accountant, and earned a BS in Accounting from the University of Southern California.
Alan Truman VP of Engineering
Alan brings 35 years of experience in sourcing, building and managing world-class engineering teams. Most recently, Alan was the vice president of engineering for the Cloud Services Business Unit at Blue Coat Systems, developing their Security as a Service (SaaS) product for mid-tier and enterprise customers. Prior to Blue Coat, Alan served as vice president of engineering at Ingrian Networks (acquired in April, 2008 by SafeNet), where he developed their data protection and secure key management solutions for enterprise customers. Alan was the first engineer at SynOptics/Bay Networks and also held other engineering positions at Xerox PARC, Harris Farinon and Boeing Company. Alan holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech.
John Armstrong CMO
John brings more than 25 years of B2B technology marketing experience to Zettaset. He transitioned to Zettaset from LeadFormix (now Callidus), where as CMO he helped propel the marketing automation pioneer to acquisition. John has successfully scaled businesses as a consultant and interim CMO for a diverse set of clients including start-ups Securent (Cisco), NetScaler (Citrix), and Mobile Money (Intuit) as well as established vendors Cisco, Dell Wyse, NetScout, and SAP. Other leadership roles include VP of Marketing Strategy at Yipes (Reliant), and VP and Chief Analyst at Gartner. He has also held key product marketing positions at Madge/Lannet, and Bay Networks. John holds an MA in Communications Management from the Annenberg School at the University of Southern California, and a BA in Media Management from Ryerson University in Toronto.
Tim Dyer VP of WW Sales
Tim brings over 20 years of Sales, Partnering and Business Development Experience. Most recently Tim performed the role of Chief Revenue Officer for Guavus, the analytic division of Thales, Inc. Prior to joining Guavus Tim fulfilled executive sales positions for a number of start-ups as well as established enterprises including Ascend, Lucent, Vivace, Tellabs, Nominum, and ConteXtream. Through his career Tim has managed teams from 0-200 people, maintained revenue responsibility for $0-$800M, and has been integral to numerous successful exits.
